General Sports Games will be spectacular multi-sporting event THE XIX Commonwealth Games will be the biggest sporting event on the international calendar for the Bahamas to participate in this year.
The event is scheduled for October in New Delhi and according to Mohinder Grover, the high commissioner for India, it will be a spectacular multi-sporting event.
In town to promote the passing of the Queen's Baton Relay here over the Easter holiday weekend, Grover said Bahamians should not worry because the global economic crisis will not have any effect.
"It's going to be okay," Grove said. "There's no reason to worry about anything."
